Social activist Anna Hazare is likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir before launching an agitation over Jan Lokpal and farmers’ issues in New Delhi next month, an NGO said here on Saturday.

“We have invited him (Hazare) to visit Jammu and he has accepted the invite. We are expecting him to address a public meeting here before the March 23 rally in Delhi,” said chairperson of International Anti-Corruption and Human Rights Council Manjot Singh Kohli while addressing a press conference.

Anna is likely to resume anti-corruption movement from 23rd March 2018.

She also informed that a team of her NGO met the social activist in Delhi last week on his invitation.

“We are happy to be the part of his movement and want everyone especially the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to join us for the success in the crusade against corruption,” Kohli said.

She also requested all the NGOs working in the state to come forward and join her for this cause and be part of the rally.

“A special train reservation would be done for 22nd March, people especially youngsters are requested to take a step ahead and contribute to the mass movement,” she stated.

Kolhi has been selected as one of the core team members by Anna Hazare and would be taking care of North zone.

National president Parshotam Singh, president Jammu Division Rajeev Mishra, social activists Madan Lal and Avinash Choudhary were also present.
