Spine surgery conference held

A conference and hands-on workshop of Association of Spine Surgeons of India (ASSI) was held here.  

The conference was organized by Prof Dr Saheel Maajid head spine division Department of Orthopaedics SKIMS Medical College, Bemina and Dr Suhail Afzal consultant Police Hospital Srinagar.

The conference was attended by Dr Ragahv Dut, president ASSI Apollo Hospital Hyderabad, Dr Shankar Acharya Sir Gangaram Hospital N Delhi, Dr Appaji Krishnan Chennai, Prof Dr Altaf Umar Ramzan Head Neurosurgery SKIMS Soura, Prof Dr Ghulam Rasul Mir and Prof Dr Munir Farooq Government Bone and Joint Surgery Hospital Barzalla Srinagar.

A workshop on surgical methods for treatment of Cervical and Lumbar Spine was also organized. The participants deliberated on various common afflictions of the spine and ways for management.
