A ruling party legislator of Bhartiya Janta Party representing Nowshera assembly constituency has allegedly thrashed of members of an Aadhar Card making team in Nowshera after which one member  namely Khaliq Hussain has been hospitalised. 

As per reports, incident took place yesterday evening when MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina alongwith his aide and some officials entered the centre where Aadhar Card team was camping.

"MLA Ravinder Raina locked the door from inside and than beaten us to pulp " said Khaliq Hussain, a member of Aadhar Card making team who is under treatment.

He disclosed that MLA Nowshera, alleging that Aadhar Card team is taking money from people, manhandled them.

" I have manhandled people in assembly than who are you " Khaliq Hussain said alleging MLA Nowshera to have said this. 

Reportedly, injured Khaliq Hussain is under treatment in hospital.

Meanwhile, MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina ruled out these allegations. 

" One old aged woman Rakia Begum approached me and told that Aadhar Card team is taking hefty amount from them and accompanied by other officers of Tehsil and sub division administration, I visited the camp to inquire the matter only " MLA said. 

He further added that no incident of thrashing has taken place and all allegations are baseless. 

"I have asked SDM Nowshera to submit a report on this after media reports " DC Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal said.

Meanwhile police said that they are inquiring the matter.
