Debate, collage, painting competition held

On the second day of Youth festival Sonzal, debated, collage and painting competition was held at Kashmir University.  

Sonzal 2017 is an eight-day annual youth festival organised by division of youth affairs department of students welfare KU 

Organising secretary, cultural officer, KU Shahid Ali Khan informed that the winners of this festival will participate in the north India level youth festival scheduled in January 2018. He said today three competitions were held in the category of literary and fine arts. In debate around 50 students from various colleges and departments participated. The theme for the debate was, "we have democratic system but not democratic values"  which was adjudicated by Dr. Rafeeq Masoodi , Dr. Rizwan Aalam Thakur and  Benish Ali Bhat.

In the collage and painting competitions around 100 students took part . The topic for the collage was heritage, winter sports in Kashmir festival while as the topic for the painting was "first snow fall, fantacy and festival.

The judges for the painting were M A Mehboob, Showket Kathjoo and Asif Iqbal  while as in collage Yousuf Naqashbandi , Shahi Chaman and Sameena Masoodi adjudicated the collage.
